Well, the first ever Sunshine Stamping Craft Club meeting happened last night and we had a brilliant time. There were five of us in total, four of us stamping and one - Mary - knitting (and at an alarming rate, might I add) baby clothes for her gorgeous new grandson. Two of the ladies who came were at the Event on Sunday and it was lovely to see them again. Julia showed us how to make a really effective kinetic card, which I really must have a go at myself.
If you're in the area and you fancy coming along on Wednesday evenings between 7:00pm and 9:00pm, don't think you have to be a papercrafter to join in. All crafters are very welcome - it's a great chance to meet new people and to take some time for yourself. We all know how easy it is for everyday life to get in the way of crafting, which after all is MUCH more important!
I promised you another project from the Papercrafting Event on Sunday, so here is the simple scrapbook page from the second session of the day.
Very simple, and in a 6"x6" format so not too daunting for those who aren't too familiar with scrapbooking itself. I wanted to show how easy it is to make your own patterned paper to decorate your page, and of course this way you can make sure that the colours co-ordinate with your photograph. The basics are the same on each of these pages, though the orientation is slightly different. Apologies for there being no photos on my samples. For some reason my printer is playing up and turning everything a rather sickly shade of green. Must have a look at that today.
Back soon with pics of the card we made in the last session of the Event. Thanks for looking!
