Pool Party Button Brooch

Hello! Today, I’ve got a picture to show you of the pretty brooch that my upline, Bekka, made for me for Christmas. You all know I love to share with you ways to use your crafting goodies to make things other than cards, so here is another:

That button looks quite big, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not all to do with me zooming in on it with my camera, in real life the button is an inch-and-a-half (3.8cm) in diameter – perfect for creating projects with real impact. It’s one of the Designer Buttons in the new Mini-Catalogue, and as well as the Pool Party colour in the photo, the pack contains buttons in all the other colours of the new “Spice Cake” suite: More Mustard, Soft Suede and Pear Pizzazz.

Just a single one of these buttons on the centre of a card, or as an embellishment on a scrapbook page, makes a real statement – without much effort on your part! And of course they make gorgeous jewellery too, here Bekka has just added a tiny die-cut butterfly (cut from Spice Cake fabric, of course!) and a brooch pin on the back, attached using Crystal Effects.

Scrapbook Club is tonight, so pop back tomorrow for a look at the projects we’ll be making. See you then – thanks for dropping by!

Hugs,

Becki
xx
