Easter Window Decoration

I loved making this hanging decoration for our rather boring living room window. The ovals framelits dies create perfect Easter eggs, and the Birds of a Feather Designer Series Paper is just too gorgeous not to have on display!

My favourite Apothecary Accents framelits dies came out to play again too, for the sentiment centrepiece, along with the oh-so-useful "Delightful Dozen" stamp set. The butterflies were created using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die and the Butterflies embosslits die - so easy but with incredibly detailed results.

Our living room window looks out towards the not-so-pretty blank wall of the house across our road, and I have to say I've smiled every time I've walked into the room since I hung this decoration up. What a difference it makes to the feel of the room! Why not try something similar?

Thanks for popping in - see you again soon...

Oh, Hello - Still Time To Book

There are still a few days left to book your place at my April "Oh, Hello" classes, and I'm really looking forward to it! You are going to love the projects I have for you...

We'll be making a beautiful gatefold card and a fun treat box, as well as a really pretty scrapbook page, all based around the fab "Oh, Hello" stamp set, which is included in your class fee. Here are a couple of sneaky peeks at one of the projects you'll be making:

You can choose from the following dates and venues:

Saturday 6th April (2:15pm - 4:45pm) at Cedarwood Primary School in Kesgrave
Thursday 11th April (2:00pm - 4:30pm) at Pennikkity Pots Ceramics Cafe in Ipswich

Each class costs just £28 and includes the "Oh, Hello" stamp set (worth £17.95) in cling mount. If you'd prefer, you can take the class without the stamp set for £15.

(Please note: book your place for the Saturday class by close of business tomorrow to ensure your stamp set arrives in time.)

More Team Welcomes and Congratulations!

Phew - finally catching up with myself after an A-MA-ZING Sale-A-Bration! What a whirlwind the last few months have been, and particularly the last week of the promotion, as people rushed to make sure they didn't miss out. Cue another round of cards for brand new members of my team:

I love this stamp set. "Oh, Hello" is the one that we're focussing on in my April classes, so as it was on my desk anyway, it seemed the natural one to turn to when I was making my welcome cards for the new members of Team Sunshine.

The zigzag oval stamp in this set works brillantly as a background for all sorts of things, and as I've been experimenting, I've discovered (to my delight) that it co-ordinates with loads of our framelits dies too. You'd think I'd be used to the cleverness of the Stampin' Up! designers by now, but I still think it's fantastic how all our products work so well together. ON this card, I've cut a mask using one of the Apothecary Accents dies, and sponged through it, to create a subtle "mat" for the stamped and layered oval to sit on. Love it!

As well as having new team members to welcome, I was also thrilled to be able to congratulate many of my team on beginning their very own teams of Demonstrators during Sale-A-Bration. I varied the design a little bit, and used a sentiment from "Perfectly Penned" (just got this set - isn't it beeyootiful!!). This is one of the cards I sent to them to tell them how proud I am of them all:

If you've ever thought of making money from your crafting hobby, then becoming an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is still incredible value for money, and could open the door to a brilliant new career for you. Find out more about joining my team here.

Iope you like these cards. If you'd like to find out more ways you can use the fabulous "Oh, Hello" stamp set, why not come along to one of my April classes? You can find more details here, and if you're not able to make either of the dates, don't forget that if you get five or more people together, I can bring any of my classes to you! Watch out for preview of the class projects here and on my Facebook page.

Playing With Pop-Ups!

As I'm writing this, the snow is falling gently past my window - I can't believe it's dropped so cold again! I'm so pleased to be tucked up lovely and warm in my craft room!

Bhanks to those of you who popped into the Pamper and Shopping Day on Sunday, it was really lovely to meet you, and great to be able to chat with lots of lovely crafty people. The first couple of hours of the day were quite quiet, so I cleared a section of my display and got my trusty Big Shot out of my bag. I'd just taken delivery of the Dressform dies and pop-up card base die, so it was the ideal opportunity for a play! Here's what I made:

Isn't it cute! Only really simple, as I had only taken a very limited supply of cardstock and Designer Series Paper with me, but I can see me having loads of fun with this one.

Don't forget - there are only a couple of days of Sale-A-Bration left, so if you want to get your hands on a fabulous free gift with every £45 purchase, you don't have long to get your order to me. Email me, or give me a call, if you're interested in taking us up on the offer. You can find out more here.

Back soon!

How would you like to be able to spend an evening with a friend, creating beautiful boxes like those on the photo I posted yesterday, AND earn yourself a fantastic FREE Sale-A-Bration reward to share at the same time? Boutique Boxes Bonanza!

I've had a lovely few days, playing with one of the kits in the current Stampin' Up! Spring Summer Catalogue. Have you seen this one? It's the Boutique Boxes Designer Printed Kit, and if you haven't had a play with it yet then you are really missing out! (Read on to find out how you can get your hands on this kit AND earn yourself a fantastic reward too...)

Just have a look at all of this that I've made from just HALF of one of these kits:

(If you're wondering what happened to the other half of the kit, I used that in project packs for some of my team members recently. )

I'll be posting more detailed pictures of these projects over the next few days, so if you want a closer look do pop back again tomorrow.

The kit consists of eight die-cut and printed boxes, eight printed notecards (you can see some of these used on the cards in the picture above), a 12" x 12"sheet of printed and die-cut paper decorations, sixteen buttons, along with an enormous length of exclusive Crumb Cake Baker's Twine and a little sheet of Stampin' Dimensionals foam pads.

The kit was designed for you to make eight boxes, with the gift cards to slip inside them, but as you can see, you can do FAR more than that! I'm putting another of these kits on my next order, 'cause I have some gorgeous ideas for scrapbook pages too, so watch this space..

One of the great things that Stampin' Up! is doing at the moment is to bundle co-ordinating products together at a discount. There is a really cute stamp sets that co-ordinates with this kit - "A Little Greeting" - and if you buy it and the Boutique Boxes kit as a bundle, then you will save a mahoosive 15% off the total cost - got to be worth it in anyone's book, I think! Want a closer look at the stamp set? Oh, alright... Here it is:

Isn't it fab?!

As we only have just over a week left of Sale-A-Bration, I have put together a fantastic kit that will enable you and a friend to spend a fun evening in crafting some of these gorgeous little boxes - and you'll even earn yourself a Sale-A-Bration reward to share as well! Pop back tomorrow to find out more...

I hope you've enjoyed looking at these pretty little boxes. Do let me know what you think, and if you've used this kit I'd love to know what fabulous ideas you've come up with. Why not leave me a comment at the end of this post to tell me about them?

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you lovely mums and grandmas out there - I hope you're all being treated like royalty and spoiled rotten!

Here's the card I made for my Mum. It's a "deluxe" version of the one in my last post, using our scrumptious Flower Trim. I hope she loves it...

The sentiment is from "Delightful Dozen".

What have you got planned for your mum today?

Oh, Hello!

I've been having a play with some of my new goodies this morning, and thought you might like to see a card I made with the stamp set we're using in next month's classes - the versatile "Oh, Hello".

Loving those roses! The hexagon embossing folder has only been in the house a day or so, and I'm loving it already - can't believe it took me so long to get hold of it! Hexagons are everywhere at the moment, and this is such a versatile look. Here I've used our new Primrose Petals Coredinations cardstock, and sanded it back after embossing, to show the contrasting core. Pretty!

In case you were wondering, the card base is Stampin' Up!'s Naturals Ivory card - really lovely for when you want a neutral coloured base. I'm using a lot of this, and the Naturals White version, at the moment..

Thanks for popping in. Did you see my new "Ribbons By The Metre" post yesterday? You can see it again by clicking here, if you missed it...

Ribbon By The Metre!

Have you ever thought you'd like to be able to buy all of our beautiful ribbons, but don't really want to commit to the expense of buying a whole reel of each? Well, now you don't have to compromise between your purse and your ribbon storage rack!

From today, I'm offering you the chance to buy any Stampin' Up! ribbon you want to, as little as a single metre at a time! So you really can have as many ribbons as you want!

Of course, you don't have to stop at just a metre if you don't want to, you can order more if you'd like to, and however much you order, I'll have it delivered direct to your door - wherever in the UK you live. Postage and packing will be charged at just the amount it costs me to send it to you, so you don't even have to worry about shipping costs.

So... how do you go about ordering? It's simple! Just drop me an email, giving me your name and address, stating which ribbon (or ribbons) you're after, and how much of each one you want, and I'll take it from there.

So, what are you waiting for? Go and get that catalogue and get choosing! I can't wait to help you build up that collection!

Team Swaps - And A Grumpy Rosebud!

Wow - what a beautiful day it is!! I've actually got most of the windows open to let the fresh air blow through the house, and have been revelling in the brightness of the morning. I hope it stays like this, and I hope you've got the sun wherever you are..

A couple of days ago, Alan and I travelled across to Dunstable with one of the ladies in my team, to take part in a Social Stamping Day organised by my lovely upline. I'm not sure exactly how sociable I was, 'cause I've been shattered recently and had to go for a lie down half way through the day (nothing personal ladies, I know you understand..), but I enjoyed myself nevertheless. Here are some of the swaps that I took along with me.

Here's a close-up of just one of them:

The theme this time was fun and friendship and so I took the opportunity to get down my "Spring Sampler" stamp set. This is one of the sets that I have in the cling mount version, so I popped the little duck and bird both on the same block, inked them up carefully using the edges of the inkpads and a Stampin' Write Marker pen, then stamped them both at the same time. This is one of the things I love about the cling mount sets - they can save you a lot of time when you're stamping multiple images. The sentiment is from the ubiquitous "Teeny Tiny Sentiments", of course!

I won't share the projects we made yet, as there are another two Social Days scheduled, and I don't want to spoil the surprise for anyone who's going to the later ones. I promise they'll be worth the wait, though...

While I was sorting out the photos of my swaps, I found a photo that I thought might make you  smile. I've had a poorly few weeks and have had to spend quite a lot of time in bed, which left Rosie Very Unimpressed. Here she is, registering her objection to me sitting in bed doing a jigsaw:

Funny little girl! Cats can radiate such disapproval, can't they? Just after I'd taken this, she turned round and gave me a look that could have curdled milk. Luckily her moods never last too long, and a few minutes later she came and snuggled up with me, purring her little head off, but too close to get a decent picture.

Thanks for dropping in, and I'll see you again soon. Hope your day is a lovely one!
